The Lymphatic Contour Brush
Long before I began practicing skincare professionally, one of the first techniques I learned was manual lymphatic drainage. I became certified in facial and body lymphatic drainage and studied the principles of the Dr. Vodder Method—a technique that would permanently shape the way I think about skin, wellness, and touch.
Developed by Emil and Estrid Vodder in the 1930s, the original method uses extremely light, rhythmic movements. That gentleness is essential. Lymphatic drainage is not deep-tissue massage, and it should never feel harsh or aggressive. The technique that inspired me is delicate, intentional, and directed along the body’s natural lymphatic pathways. Dr. Vodder School history
That philosophy is exactly why I believe so strongly in the TINA•K Lymphatic Contour Brush.
Its incredibly soft bristles allow you to create the light, sweeping movement that facial lymphatic massage calls for. Many of today’s “lymphatic” treatments use heavy pressure and forceful sculpting, but more pressure is not necessarily better. For me, the beauty of this ritual lies in its softness.
My daily technique is simple:
Sweep from the forehead toward the ear.
Sweep from the side of the nose toward the ear.
Sweep from the chin and jawline toward the ear.
Finish by sweeping gently down the side of the neck toward the collarbone.
Repeat on the other side.
I use my brush every day, especially when seasonal allergies leave my face looking puffy around the sinus area. The ritual helps my complexion appear smoother, brighter, more refreshed, and visibly less puffy. It is also an incredibly calming moment—a few minutes to slow down, breathe, and care for myself.
To me, this brush is more than a beauty tool. It is a daily wellness ritual. The visible contouring is wonderful, but it is the consistent practice of gentle, intentional care that matters most.
After decades in skincare, this is the facial contouring tool that most closely reflects everything I was taught: the touch should be light, the direction should be thoughtful, and consistency is everything.
Gentle movement. Thoughtful direction. A beautifully refreshed complexion.
With love,
Tina K 💛
